Localization Tools We Use We believe high-tech localizations require high-tech equipment. Out translation staff are
well versed in the use many machine and computer-aided translation tools. In everyday work they use such tools as TRADOS, StarTransit, IBM TM2, CorelCatalist and an in-house developed
system
based on a large custom lingual database. This consists of several electronic dictionaries that have been compiled through the years by Iolar and packed with the knowledge from a myriad of technical areas in which our translation experts excel.
At Iolar, we have found that a judicious and intelligent use of modern computer-aided translation applications can significantly speedup the the translation process. A central pool of linguistic and terminology
knowledge can be thus centrally maintained in our company. This enables everyone involved in the translation project a chance to instantly access the latest findings while being capable of contributing new data
themselves. Our staff can achieve this easily since they are equipped with networked and internet-enabled Pentium III-class PC workstations running Windows 2000 Professional and assorted application software, including
MS Office.
