At Iolar, we have found that sensible use of modern computer-aided translation applications and state-of-the-art computer equipment can significantly speed-up the translation process. If we want to keep our process running at peak performance we have to constantly upgrade our software, hardware and network environment.

All translators and system specialists are equipped with Pentium III-class PC workstations running Windows 2000 Professional. In addition, we have a number of PC's equipped with Windows 95/98/98SE/ME/XP and Windows NT for software testing.

Translation tools

We are using TRADOS Translation tools for more than 4 years. In these past years we have gained experience and knowledge about the tools and so we are able to solve any problems that could arise. All our licencies are "team" licences which gives us the ability to work on larger projects with several translators working on the same project.

Security

All our servers and workstations are protected by a professional antivirus software package. We employ strict security measures and all employees and contractors have to sign NDA.

We also have support contracts for HW maintenance and maintenance of operating system's software which also add a certain percentage to the reliability of our company.
